Highly skilled and knowledgeable Administrative Staff assist our attorneys in successfully meeting and exceeding client needs and are vital to the overall success of the Firm.Job DescriptionThe Sr. Manager, Diversity Legal Recruiting will be responsible for managing the development and execution of the Firm's U.S. diversity legal recruiting and hiring practices. This role reports to the Firm's Director, Legal Recruiting and is part of the NY Legal Recruiting team.Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions: Develop, communicate and execute on a diversity legal recruiting strategy for the US that is designed to improve the workforce diversification and promote inclusive hiring practices at the law student and practicing attorney level.Work closely with the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to develop and implement diversity legal recruiting related initiatives.Liaise with all Weil affinity groups to plan and execute recruiting efforts, including law school and related events, mentoring programs, internal recruiting related meetings, etc.Manage diversity related law school contribution and sponsorships to align with strategic priorities and oversee attorney participation.Communicate the firm's diversity legal recruiting goals and commitment to accommodating students and practicing attorneys with disabilities to deans, career services professionals, and Diversity & Inclusion professionalsEnhance and leverage partnerships with external organizations that engage diverse talent and with internal groups.Develop relationships with and seek opportunities to support diversity-focused legal organizations at both the student and practicing attorney levels.Oversee preparation and management of diversity legal recruiting related events including summer program, law school outreach, luncheons, panels, social activities, orientation, sibling/mentor assignments, raining programs, and adherence to budget.Support Director and Hiring Committee in management of all diversity legal recruiting initiatives including coordinating and schedule interviews; attend recruiting season events; compile data and charts regarding callback outcome; recruitment database input and updates as needed.Oversee internal and external diversity legal recruiting communications efforts, including award submissions, factsheets, website, marketing publications, diversity legal recruitment metrics, recruitment statistics and historical data for surveys and internal tracking purposes.Ensure firm and Legal Recruiting Department is educated and resourced to deliver on diversity legal recruiting strategy.Challenge current recruiting processes, bringing new ideas, with particular focus on improving candidate experience & improving relationships with our target schools and key diversity-based student group, community partners and building pipeline opportunities.Oversee the firm's Diversity Fellowship scholarship program and related initiatives.Support and participate in the Diversity Committee.Attend and participate in all Hiring Committee and Summer Program Committee meetings. Keep committee members abreast of diversity legal recruiting activities.Oversee analysis of internal and external diversity legal recruiting metrics.Any additional responsibilities as required by management.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 8+ years in legal or campus recruitment for a professional services or Big Law firm with at least 3 years of direct experience in diversity recruiting.At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred.Demonstrated ability and experience supervising recruitment staff.Must have a strong knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion topics in a professional setting.Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Self-starter; ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision.Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.Excellent time management and prioritization skills.Excellent PC skills.Education/Certifications:Bachelors degree required.Estimated salary range is $195,000 - $205,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP offers a competitive compensation package comprised of base pay and discretionary year-end bonus for eligible employees.
