Position Specific Description

The Military Recruiter is responsible for execution of military recruiting programs and partnerships as well as the identification and implementation of new programs, partnerships, and talent pipelines that drive current military and veteran talent attraction strategies across the enterprise. This role acts as the key liaison with organizations and connects candidates with opportunities where skills and interests are a match. The Military Recruiter works in partnership with business unit recruiters and business unit leadership to understand workforce and staffing plans to build appropriate channels that drive military and adjacent candidate hiring that help meet targeted staffing requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

* Maintain responsibility for driving veteran outreach and engagement activities.

* Develop excellent relationships with external vendors, military bases, and transition/veteran centers on military installations to promote NextEra's brand and find unique ways to attract candidates.

* Assess business needs and talent markets while developing and executing recruitment strategies, programs, and tools that support business objectives.

* Build candidate pipelines and develop local networks to ensure a constant flow of qualified candidates using a variety of sources, including direct sourcing utilizing social media and network contacts, internet postings, database searches, and community outreach initiatives to create diverse candidate pools.

* Build long-term, value-added relationships with passive and active prospects, including managing candidate communities, providing meaningful experiences during the identification and attraction processes, and maintaining relationships with candidates not selected.

* Oversee and drive participation in national military events and recruiting conferences.

* Implement metrics, analyze hiring data and results, and evaluate strategy and targets to determine military programs' effectiveness.

* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to employment.

Qualified candidates must have experience with recruiting veterans and engaging with various military programs, partnerships, platforms, and leadership, in addition to a minimum of three years of recruiting experience, including sourcing and assessing diverse, high-demand candidates, plus the ability to utilize creative sourcing techniques, including network organizations, social media, and referrals and knowledge of recruitment trends and technologies, staffing and employment practices. Prior experience as a military recruiter in a large private employer and prior military experience strongly desired. Position may work hybrid as extensive travel required.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for full life-cycle recruitment from requisition creation to onboarding. Individuals play a pivotal role in the talent acquisition department by helping drive candidate demand, hiring talent, managing the candidate experience and building relationships with business stakeholders. This position works closely with hiring managers to understand their needs in order to identify the right talent and ensure goals are met.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Develops and executes sourcing strategy while identifying top talent, independently and creatively source talent

Develops pipeline of both active and passive candidates in niche areas as determined by market needs and business strategies

Conducts phone screens, manages interview process, and coordinates interview debriefs while providing a consultative value

Executes offer process from negotiation to onboarding

Focuses on candidate experience while being highly responsive to both candidates and hiring managers

Supports college recruiting efforts throughout the organization

Develops expert-level knowledge of the applicant tracking system

Learns our company, our businesses, our complexity, and our products to be able to explain and provide a business case for candidates wanting to work for us

Leads and participates in cross functional projects as it relates to talent, recruiting, sourcing, and landing top talent to the organization

Engages in continuous development as it relates to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP), Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), general compliance, military hiring, and other diversity initiatives

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
