As a leader in the MRO industry, we partner with customers to make sure they have the right maintenance and repair parts on hand when needed.We’re looking for a Recruiting Specialist to support the recruitment and onboarding functions of the Human Resources department.Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.Responsibilities

Provides confidential administrative, operational and project support to our recruiting efforts.Prepares offer letters, arranges background checks, administers assessments, and ensures onboarding paperwork is provided and returned.Creates and processes hiring justification forms for both field and corporate positions.Enters job requisition information for all new positions and replacements into the online applicant tracking system.Manages the onboarding process, including the offer, background check verification, drug testing and I9 verification. Reviews and ensures the accuracy of onboarding information forwarded to payroll for entry into the HRIS system.Responds to managers' and associates' requests for recruiting materials, routing the appropriate resources. Ensures appropriate recruiting materials are available to hiring managers and applicants. Prepares materials as necessary.Assists with the scheduling of candidate interviews at corporate location and others if necessary.Creates, analyzes and distributes reports in online systems (Avature) as well as any other reports that assist with the recruiting function.Assists with OFCCP outreach efforts.Ensures all locations follow the recruiting processes and procedures.Maintains recruiting files and records for Human Resources.Participates and assists with department projects and activities as requested, researching and compiling information as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma with 3 - 5 years related experience in the Human Resources field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Taleo and Avature preferred.Strong communication skills, both written and oral for daily interaction with hiring managers and applicants.Excellent customer service skills with an energetic, motivated and positive demeanor.Attention to details.Strong project-management skills with the ability to multi-task and complete project assignments in a timely manner.Ability to understand the hiring business implications of decisions from the company and from the applicant/employee perspective.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to learn new computer programs as necessary.Lawson Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer of women, minorities, protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
