DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the purchasing of raw material, hardware, equipment, production supplies and services necessary for the efficient operation of a full-service aircraft parts manufacturer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.Developing profitable purchasing strategies.Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
