We are currently hiring for an IT Asset Inventory Analyst. This position is direct hire.

The IT Asset Inventory Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing all IT asset-related activities within the organization. This includes maintaining comprehensive records for licenses, warranties, and service level agreements, managing transactional activities, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to liaise with various internal teams, vendors, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Management:Perform all responsibilities in alignment with company values and policies.Manage systems and databases containing information on hardware and software licenses, warranties, and service level agreements.

Transactional Activities:Record daily transactional activities related to software tracking, administration, and ownership.Manage software versioning, maintain licensing compliance, and conduct software and licensing audits.

Order and Inventory Management:Acknowledge and track orders, prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports.Confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs, and resolve order discrepancies in a timely manner.Complete monthly financial chargebacks and submit to Accounts Payable for reconciliation.

Budget and Financial Tracking:Monitor operational and capital funding to ensure alignment with forecasts.

Stock Room Duties:Perform daily stock room duties, including receiving inventory, updating the inventory management system (e.g., Sphere), conducting internal audits, and monitoring equipment inventory levels.

Troubleshooting and Support:Troubleshoot and resolve tickets related to hardware/software issues and new requests for customers.

Liaison and Expertise:Provide expertise to internal IT departmental teams (Project Management Office, Deployment, Desk Side Support, Network, Telecommunications, Systems, and Applications) regarding quotes, contracts/SOWs, procurement for IS&T Projects, and daily Work Orders and break/fix Incidents.Serve as a liaison with IT leadership, procurement, vendors, shippers, couriers, project managers, and materials management coordinators for effective life cycle management of IT assets.

Vendor and Project Management:Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors, ensure product costs are within standard pricing guidelines, and negotiate best pricing.Manage multiple projects simultaneously and oversee asset redeployment and disposal policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education or work experience may be considered.Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in cost control, inventory, and asset management.Skills:

Strong attention to detail and excellent business/financial acumen.Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within IT, particularly asset and inventory management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with asset/inventory management systems and ticketing systems.High degree of professionalism with the ability to work across departmental lines with various staff levels and vendors.Ability to move large objects up to 50 pounds with bending and mobility.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
