Description

Overview:

The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and applications. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring and maintaining equipment, and assisting end-users with technical problems. The IT Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the technology infrastructure that supports the organization's operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support:

Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner. Escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.System Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment, including installing updates, patches, and anti-virus software. Ensure that systems are operating efficiently and securely.User Support:

Assist users in understanding and using software applications, providing training as needed. Set up new user accounts and configure user environments to ensure smooth onboarding.Network Administration:

Monitor network performance and security, troubleshooting connectivity issues. Assist with the configuration and management of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.Equipment Setup:

Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new hires or system upgrades. Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure all assets are properly documented.Data Backup and Recovery : Implement and maintain backup solutions to ensure data integrity and recoverability. Assist with data recovery efforts in the event of system failures.Security:

Ensure compliance with company security policies, including the management of user permissions, access controls, and password policies. Report any security breaches or concerns to the IT Manager.Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and problem resolutions. Contribute to the development of user guides and IT manuals.Collaboration:

Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support technology initiatives and projects. Provide input on improving IT systems and processesQualifications

About You:

Education:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience:

You bring 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role. You're familiar with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems, as well as common software applications and networking protocols.Certifications:

You may have certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent, which demonstrate your commitment to the field.Language Skills:

You are fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing you to effectively support our diverse workforceSkills:

You're a natural problem solver with strong troubleshooting abilities.You communicate clearly and effectively, making technical information accessible to all.You have a solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.You're familiar with tools like Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support applications.You're organized, detail-oriented, and can manage your time well, whether working independently or as part of a team.Physical Requirements: You're capable of lifting and moving IT equipment (up to 50 pounds), and you're adaptable to different office environments.Position Details:
