Job Description

Passionate fans are critical to the success of Oklahoma Athletics, and creating a great home-atmosphere is a key component in that success. The Associate Director of Big Screens & Game Entertainment is responsible for helping plan, build and execute all in-arena big screen elements. Working with Sooner Sports Properties, the position includes oversight responsibilities of content creation and big screen productions at every venue in support of Oklahoma Athletics and has an increased focus on sponsorship execution. As the Associate Director, the position is expected to independently manage the production for several sport programs in-venue shows.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for in-arena entertainment with a demonstrated excellence in content creation. Showcasing a variety of creative strengths is critical, as the position will be relied upon to create content across various sports for a variety of applications, board sizes and sponsor needs. Examples of this content is inclusive of, but not limited to "tip off videos", "timeout hype videos", "animated crowd prompts", "special features", "shuffles", "music videos", "interactive games", "stat display", "video board layout & design", "special recognition", "kickoff hype videos" etc.

This position will also work closely with the OU Marketing Department to ensure the planning and execution of all in-game promotions/features and is expected to contribute to the creative development of in-game entertainment. The position is also responsible for content preparation and execution for auxiliary events (both in and outside of athletics) involving digital signage and big screen usage and ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of all in-venue signage. As the Associate Director, the position is expected to be a leader of student-training as well as providing mentorship and guidance to the Assistant Director.

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Journalism or related field,

AND:

24 months of experience in creative media, sports production or related field.Equivalency/Substitution:

Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.

Skills:

Adobe Creative Suite or similar video production toolsHighly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlinesDetail oriented for accuracy of data and informationAbility to communicate verbally and in writingAbility to build rapport with students, faculty, and staffAbility to produce reports and complete work within deadlinesStrong initiative to solve problems in a timely mannerCertifications :
