Job Description:

This position is for a Lead Windows Systems Administrator supporting Agile Software Development Engineering teams. The position requires the ability to perform complex, multi-disciplined administration in secure development/integration/test labs in firewalled and isolated network environments. The Lead Windows Systems Administrator will participate in roadmap, architecture, implementation, and sustainment of operational Windows network infrastructure supporting software teams. Candidate must be a self-motivated team player with excellent technical and communication skills.

Essential Functions:Integrate with a team of multidiscipline, multileveled Systems Administrators supporting Windows, Linux, DevSecOp and Network operationsAssist Software Engineers by providing Windows infrastructure services in support of development effortsPartner with Information Security team to provide secure, hardened, and auditable Windows systemsPlan and document operational processes, configurations, and diagrams required for management, Security operations, and the software teamsCoach, mentor and train new team membersAssist leadership with business decisions demonstrating and safeguarding the company by assuring that applicable laws and policies are followedQualifications:

Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. CitizenshipBachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.Lift up to 50 lbs and work/maneuver in confined spacesWork on-call non-standard hours for outages and maintenance periodsPreferred Additional Skills:

Windows Server and Windows client systems administration (Server 2022, Server 2019, Server 2016, Windows 11, Windows 10) in mixed OS (Unix, Linux) environments

Active Directory, Group Policy, ADM TemplatesBreak/fix troubleshootingProvisioning via Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, or similar technologiesNetwork infrastructure services setup and maintenance of DNS, DHCPNetwork storage services setup and maintenance of SMB/CIFS/DFS

Scripting in batch and PowerShellPatch management in WSUS/WSUS OfflineSystem hardening and auditing in RMF, CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, DISA STIG environmentsConfiguration management with SCOM, Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, puppet, or chefCode repository administration of Team Foundation Server, git, GitLab, GitHub, SVNScripting in PowerShell, batch, vbs/vba, python, javascriptBasic network administration of layer 2/3 switchesSupporting multi-OS environments of Linux, Windows, Solaris, and embedded OS'sKnowledge of DevOps tools (Kubernetes , OpenShift, TeamCity, Docker, Jenkins)Experience in building/utilizing CI/CD pipelinesExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)Certifications in one or more MCSA, MTA, Microsoft 365, MCSE, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEHDeep understanding of metrics and monitoring systems (SCOM/MOM, Nagios, Zabbix, OpenView)Experience performing log analysis and other network forensic investigations (Elasticsearch, Splunk)Additional experience with Linux system administration is a plusDeep expertise troubleshooting complex distributed systemsExperience with creating and improving documented procedures and/or playbooks
