Job Description

A local government employer is looking to hire an ECS Desktop Support lead to join their team. 40 to 50% of the time this person will be helping lead a team in replacing and deploying PCI and POS equipment then deploying a new cloud solution. This position will be supporting the department of finance, controllers office, and purchasing office. This person will also be responsible for thorough documentation in servicenow so incidents can quickly be solved. This person will also need to have knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, static IP, and IP configurations. This portion of the role requires travel to different locations driving in your own vehicle. Costs for parking and has will be out of pocket as well. The other 50% of the role will be desktop support doing hardware troubleshooting, networking troubleshooting, computer imaging, and asset management. This position is a 3 month contract opportunity with potential extension to the end of 2025. It is expected that this person is onsite 5 days a week. This position can pay between $23 and $33 an hour.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Experience leading desktop support teams with hardware replacements, software implementation, and network troubleshooting.

Experience replacing and deploying PCI and POS equipment including peripherals.

Network experience related to TCP/IP and static IP configuration.

Experience creating thorough documentation in service now for quickly identifying incidents. - COMP TIA certifications.

Past experience working in State or Local government. null
