Trimble is recruiting dynamic, friendly, and motivated fabrication management professionals to join our Sales Engineer team focused on Tekla Software Solutions. The sales engineer is a member of the sales team that provides pre-sale technical software solution demonstrations. Trimble provides enterprise-level software solutions to the commercial construction industry throughout the United States and abroad. This position is responsible for presenting expertise and providing solution-based demonstrations to promote using Tekla PowerFab/EPM in their steel fabrication management process.What You Will DoCommon duties for this position include inspirational presentations, complex prototype demonstrations, and follow-up support during the sales process. This position works closely with the sales management team and the new logo, customer, and product sales team members. The sales engineer will help ensure that Tekla PowerFab and Trimble Products are represented accurately and that individual client questions or concerns are effectively addressed.Supports the Trimble AECO sales team by assisting with sales presentations/demonstrations. Consult with prospects to help them determine how Tekla PowerFab and Trimble Products best fit their business.

Act as an expert in the sales discovery process and can document and solve critical business issues.

Provide extensive software and industry knowledge to present critical success factors that validate the software solutions presented.

Responsible for complex client-specific cross-application presentations.

Assist with various demonstration-deployment strategies across the Trimble Construction One workflow solutions.

Create and present webinars, trade shows, user events, and informational presentations in either an individual or team setting.

Provide and collect external industry requirements, product testing, and feedback to the Development Organization.

Maintain adequate knowledge base for Trimble Construction One workflow solutions.

Work directly with Trimble Consulting and product development teams, documenting process gaps, product issues, reporting requirements, and myriad other solutions/workarounds.

What Skills & Experience You Should BringCommunicate with extensive construction industry experience, specifically focused on the major workflows in steel fabrication with Tekla PowerFab/EPM or other steel management software

Understanding steel industry workflows, project participants, supply chain, fabrication & site erection processes

Understanding of principles in estimating structural steel fabrication projects

Ability to document product functionality requirements and desired workflow outcomes

Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events

Demonstrates excellent written/verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback. Effectively presents and explains information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge

Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with great discretion, diligence, and good judgment. Represents Trimble with honesty, integrity, and professionalism

Required Skills & Experience:

3-5 years experience using Tekla PowerFab/EPM

Ability to read and interpret structural engineering and fabrication shop drawings

Proficiency in steel fabrication production control workflows

Experience with steel inventory & material management practices

Experience in steel construction project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with using Tekla Structures and steel detailing experience is a plus

Knowledge of building construction markets and applications

A working knowledge of Trimble Connect and its feature sets

Knowledge of sales and pre-sales processes

Secondary technical or vocational degree

Other Requirements

The successful candidate must also:Have permission to work in the USA

Be prepared to travel domestically between 10% and 30%

Hold a valid driving license and vehicle rental access
