full-time or part-time

Senior Business Development Consultant with a deep understanding of State and Local government operations and a strong network across Washington State and Local government entities to join our Washington State-based team working out of our Seattle office. The Senior Business Development Consultant will play a key role in growing Eagle Hill's consulting practice in Washington State, including building and selling a pipeline of consulting work with new buyers. The Senior Business Development Consultant will leverage both their understanding of State and Local government operations and experience across Eagle Hill's core service lines (strategic planning, organizational design, change management, human capital transformation, process improvement, and/or program management) to develop strategic and trusted client relationships, shape new opportunities, lead business development campaigns, develop proposals to sell new and follow-on work, and manage client relationships.Specific responsibilities may vary, but the role of a Senior Business Development Consultant in State and Local may include:Actively participate in helping Eagle Hill grow; play a lead role in developing State and Local new business through leveraging their existing State and Local network and exceptional relationship building skillsAdeptly formulating proposal "win themes" in showcasing value proposition for existing clients and prospective clients, probing on considerations such as competitive differentiation, understanding of Eagle Hill's strengths, and effectively articulating aligned solutionsWork collaboratively with State and Local prospective clients to develop a deep understanding of business issues, create strategies to address their problems, and work alongside prospects to shape new workPartner and collaborate with internal Seattle-based consulting staff and firm SMEs to drive new business develop opportunities by leveraging internal resources to create compelling proposals and solutions

Qualifications

What are the Required Qualifications?Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 5 years' experience working for or with State and Local government entities in Washington State selling work aligned with Eagle Hill's core service lines preferred (strategic planning, organizational design, change management, human capital transformation, process improvement, and/or program management)Strong network across State and Local government entities within Washington StateDemonstrated business development experience successfully shaping and selling workHistory of successfully leading the development of solutions through strong problem-solving and analytical skillsProven track record in gaining prospective client trust and building credibilityExperience managing components of business development efforts (e.g., proposals, white papers, capability deck, account plans)Demonstrated facility in understanding complex client challenges/opportunities and is able to work cross-sectionally to help shape new workTrack record of winning proposal responses with a complex set of requirements, multiple volumes, and/or teaming partnersDemonstrated excellence presenting to an executive-level audience, both written and oralFlexible and adaptable, be a leadership role model for others at all times, and especially, during times of change and ambiguityEntrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated "above and beyond" success in business development efforts yielding consistent growth in their fieldProficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointTechnical aptitude; able to quickly learn new technology platformsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to successfully complete and retain any company, federal, or other background investigations required to perform client work

What are the Desired Qualifications?Previous external client-facing or business development management consulting experience in a leadership capacityAdvanced degree in Business Administration or Public AdministrationLeadership experience within State or Local government entity a plusExperience in developing new practice area in collaboration with multiple stakeholders

Compensation:
