Steel Point Solutions is looking for an innovative and experienced System Tester who will be responsible for documenting test procedures and plans and conduct system testing and requirements verification. Support testing and development teams in the understanding of requirements.
General Responsibilities:
Actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and demonstrate strong dedication to quality and communication throughout the testing process and will serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in unit and system testing to maintain the customer 's perspective while maintaining client relationships at peer level.The System Tester should assist team members in completing their work or acquiring skills while contributing to maintaining a collaborative work environment. Typically, accountable for results of team efforts by maintaining workflows and quality standards and meeting deadlines.Utilize our software from an end-user perspective; write and perform manual regression testing procedures; document test performance, bugs, and design inefficiencies in the software; assist developers in creating realistic testing scenariosRequired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field, in lieu of degree an additional 5 years of work experience required3+ years of system testing experienceMust have an active TS clearanceDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.Experience with development activities in unit/system testingExperience with test result evaluation and test result reportingExperience supporting the federal governmentAbility to conduct analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause activitiesDesired Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management skills to meet the customer's deliverable dates and ensure business needs are metPreform analysis and projects to improve overall quality of work products and processAbility to maximize efficiency by managing time workloadFamiliarity with Cucumber and Gherkin testing frameworksExperience with Git and VS CodeExperience in Agile/scrum or DevSecOps methodologies with emphasis on testingFamiliarity with Atlassian tools like JIRA and ConfluenceFamiliarity with Microsoft products such as Excel Word and Microsoft Office Visio
