LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY
(LEIA) in Honolulu, HI. As part of a highly talented, motivated, team, you will support a fast-paced program delivering a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber Defense, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and it's AORs. Duties and responsibilities include:
Peraton is looking for a strong
Senior Database Engineer
with expertise in data modeling and maintaining production, testing and development databases. This role is part of a collaborative and agile team that will support the mission-critical IT solutions for the LEIA Enterprise.Responsible for the maintenance of production, testing and development databases.
Brings solid understanding of database administration.Supports development team from a database design and development perspective.Responsible for database administration or engineering activities, ensure optimal performance on PostgreSQL environments.Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of PostgreSQL architecture.Performance tuning of the queries.Provide support to the application developers, including, but not limited to data refresh, SQL, MySQL and PL/pgSQL performance tuning and best practice recommendations.Conduct code reviews with application developers.Perform many related database functions across one or more teams, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management.
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelors degree with 8 years of experience or Masters degree with 6 years experience, Additional experience may be considered in Lieu of higher educationStrong MySQL, PL/PGSQL or PL/SQL experience is a plus.Active TS/SCI Security clearanceExperience in AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL.Experience in Complex and high-volume data warehouse projects.Hands-on experience with Postgres database administration, performance tuning and production support in a high volume, customer-facing apps/environment.Data Modeling ExperienceMeets DoDM 8140.03 IAT II requirementsDesired QualificationsAWS CertificationsExcellent leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to deliver outstanding results#LeiaPeraton Overview
