Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced
Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA) Specialist
to join our team.The role will focus on negotiating, managing, and administering MSFTA contracts to support our securities financing and trading operations. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the firms interests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating legal and financial risks related to forward securities transactions.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securities law, financial markets, and legal contract negotiation, as well as a deep understanding of Master Agreements used in capital markets, particularly MSFTAs.Key Responsibilities:Contract Negotiation:
Lead the negotiation and drafting of Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreements (MSFTAs) and related collateral agreements with counterparties, including broker-dealers, institutional investors, and financial institutions.Documentation and Review:
Ensure that all contracts and associated documentation adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements. Review terms related to forward securities transactions, collateral requirements, and risk mitigations.Legal Advisory:
Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams, including trading desks, treasury, risk management, and operations, on issues related to MSFTAs and other master agreements in securities finance.This opportunity is available on both a long-term contract and a permanent basis.
