Job Description : At Sterling, cloud computing allows us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we're seeking an experienced cloud engineer who has expertise in the implementation of different projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of cloud technologies, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, and advanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cutting edge. The cloud engineer will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of Cloud operations and an ongoing impact on growth.

Required Technical Skills:

Our Cloud Engineer should be proficient in AWS, Visio, or draw.io. Experience using Salesforce-or similar CRM-is desired. General Microsoft office proficiency is required.

Required Education/Experience:

The Cloud Engineer should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the public cloud and prior experience with IT administration is desired. Additionally, understanding of financial operations, accounting, and billing a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Willing to go the extra mile to satisfy a customer.Able to accurately and efficiently document customer information and sales activity.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Basic, general knowledge of IT products, with particular emphasis on software products.Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and build cloud solutions integral to Sterling's internal teams, as well as customers.Understanding of Cloud Tagging for cost showbackAbility to build ATO Landing Zones within the public cloudTrain learn and understand new cloud technologies that could be used to improve current processes.Communicate with teams regularly to identify opportunities and potential issues, document key requirements and decision markers to assist in agreed solution direction.Maintain Cloud environments and ensure uptime and durability throughout the year.Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures to ensure success.Understanding of and experience administrating the five pillars of the well-architected framework.Receive and respond to customer requests for information, questions, and issues via email and phone.Communicate with distributors, manufacturers, partners, and resellers to collect pricing and product information for preparation of quotations.Maintain detailed records of sales activity in Salesforce.Perform other duties as assigned by senior level account managers or Director of Strategic Initiatives.
