Job Posting Title IT Manager - IBMi Services - Remote Job Description The Manager IT is responsible for the management, coordination, capacity tracking of assigned resources for their team. The Manager promotes Employee engagement. This role is responsible for working in partnership with IT and business leadership to develop technology strategy, implementation plans, adoption methodologies, and operational support for assigned area. Responsibilities + Technical understanding of IBM Power Systems (9 or greater) and Operating Systems, IBMi (AS400/iSeries) and AIX, and related products + Understanding of HMC, VIOS and External Storge as related to the Power Systems + Provide strategic direction and guidance for the ongoing development and optimization of the IBM Power Systems environment + Oversee system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations + Work closely with vendors and third-party providers to manage relationships and optimize the use of Powertech (Fortra) tools + Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices for data protection and system integrity + Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies + Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required + 6 years of relevant work experience in wide range of IT-related roles with exposure to variety of technologies and applications + 1 year of leadership/people management experience + Experience in information systems operations + Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications + Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex material to wide range of audiences in plain language + Strong problem solving and business analysis skills + Ability to multi-task, manage projects, set time frames, and meet deadlines + Ability to work as team player To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
