Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar,and beyond.Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration skills to positively impact safe human spaceflight. In this role, you will support and continuously improve the execution of our risk, issue, and opportunity processes. You will work directly with engineering and program management teams to identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities and lead mitigation strategies and burndown plans. Responsibilities include managing the risk database, facilitating risk review boards, and coaching team members through the risk process. You must also possess a passion for improving metrics and reporting systems that provide risk process insight. Your work will enable New Glenn's successful development and operation of complex spaceflight hardware.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to impact safe human spaceflight positively. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Qualifications:Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space!B.S./M.S. degree in engineering or technical field8+ years of Project Management experienceAbility to assimilate technical engineering information quickly and summarize conciselyProven ability to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to mitigate risks to a program's technical requirements, assets, cost/schedule baselines, and safetyDemonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver resultsHighly adaptable in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment; able to thrive with ambiguityStrong communication, organization, and analytical aptitude in support of enabling senior leadership to make informed, critical decisionsCapability to obtain wide system and program knowledge to convey complex system dependencies and impactsContinual improvement mindset towards processes and toolsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Tableau3+ years of direct Risk Management experienceInvolvement with multiple portions of an aerospace product life cycle: R&D, Development, ProductionExperience with aerospace vehicles or enginesExperience with Primavera (P6), Doors Next Gen, CREO, Windchill, Microsoft SuiteCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $143,989.50-$201,585.30
