Genesis10 is currently seeking a Splunk/Monitoring/Architect/Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Jacksonville, FL, and Atlanta, GA. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Responsibilities:Manage, expand, upgrade, automate, and improve performance and sustainability for our huge Splunk environment as a hands-on engineer/architectDrive implementation using Lean Agile methodologyResponsible for Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation and some administration, for the Splunk deployments we manage across the enterpriseInteract with technology and business groups, to gather requirements, and deliver the solutionDevelop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other toolsCollaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycleDesign and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deploymentWork with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure componentsIdentify and address technical issues with automation tools and processesDevelop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes
Requirements:
5+ years expert-level Splunk Architect experienceWell-versed with search head and indexer clustering topologyHands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experienceSome expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scriptsThorough knowledge of regular expressionsStrong debugging and analytical skillsGood communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions togetherCreative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions
Desired Skills:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative disciplineExperience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, and/or AutoSysExperience working in a secure, multi-data center environmentExperience with other monitoring toolsSplunk Enterprise Certified AdministratorSplunk Enterprise Certified ArchitectResolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and prioritiesStrong, proactive leadership capabilities inspiring fellowshipAbility to stimulate and participate in creative thinking for out-of-the-box solutionsAbility to effectively communicate, interact with and influenceWork effectively within a fast-paced, cohesive team
Pay Range:
$60.24-$68.24
