Responsibilities

The Senior Voice Technician is a specialized role focused on the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice communication systems, including ISDN, VoIP, VoSIP, and teleconferencing devices within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data network and telephony systems, ensuring reliable operation in line with DoD processes and standardsProvide solid customer service and support in a high-visibility environment, addressing and resolving issues promptlyUnderstand and apply fundamental knowledge of the SIP/TCP/IP protocol suite, including familiarity with MAC and IP addressesPerform problem analysis and problem-solving for voice communication system issuesMaintain detailed and accurate records of configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting stepsThis position will be primarily on-site at the Pentagon Reservation, where the Voice Technician will work within secure facilities and must comply with all security protocols but may travel in the NCR to support the missionThe physical demands for this role include the ability to move and handle tools and materials, work with fine components, and operate testing equipmentRequired Experience/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experienceDoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentThe candidate should have at least 5 years of related Voice Technician experience and be familiar with SIP/TCP/IP protocol suite, MAC and IP addresses5+ years of related Voice Technician experience5+ years of related IT/telecommunications experience working within the DoD environmentIn-depth knowledge of voice communication systems, including ISDN, VoIP, VoSIP, andteleconferencing devicesStrong customer service and support skills, with the ability to interact effectively in a high visibility environmentExcellent problem analysis and problem-solving skillsHigh level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to document work and maintain records meticulouslyThe technician must be able to see and differentiate cable identification and perform physical tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice communication systemsSpecial Requirements/Security Clearance

Must possess a Secret clearance
