Overview:

The tender & pricing analysts role is to take care of all ocean quotation needs for Yusen USA. Responsibilities include leading the tender process from A to Z, guiding inputs from various global teams across 5 regions to compile a comprehensive RFQ response package as well as ensure spot quotations are completed both timely and accurately. The main responsibility is to generate a competitive ocean proposal or spot quote through communication with different stakeholders across the world and acting as a pseudo-project manager to ensure both RFQ and spot quote completion and accuracy.Responsibilities:Pricing & Quotation

Oversee and monitor a BPO pricing team responsible for creating spot quotations for USA sales ~500 quotations per monthMonitor and ensure BPO pricing team KPIs are metException management of the BPO teams requestsTrack, analyze and report on quotation performance including win ratio, quotation volume, feedback, etc.Create and implement adjustments to quotation format based on business needs

Tender Management

Receive tenders through various methods including pulling from online platforms (ex. GT Nexus, Ariba)Translate external formats, using both technical skill and a mastery understanding of ocean surcharges and fees, into an internal template through Winmore to create a universal understanding across the organization.Review opportunities with BD personnel and create strategyLead coordination as AMR region representative with stakeholders across a global matrix organization to align on tender responsePerform sanity checks on finalized tender response and create solutions to errors.Maintain, track and improve KPIs and tender statistics across seasonsBe the country level superuser for various tender management or pricing software/portal (Winmore, Cargosphere, IMS, Keelvar, GT Nexus, Transporeon, etc.)

Reporting, Technical Specialist & OFF team support

Create and maintain business analytics reports including financial extrapolation from mid-month results, weekly business volume reports, industry capacity reports, etc.Create and analyze performance metrics including business volume by customer, financial performance per customer, price of each vendor, etc.Provide technical support for procurement team as neededImplement new projects and processes for both the BPO pricing team and the tender management processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in project management, supply chain management or other related business management fieldOne to three years of freight forwarding experience preferredMastery of intermediate Excel (VLookup, PivotTable, etc.)Strong communication and teamwork skillsSix Sigma certification is a plusFluency in a 2nd language is a plusThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed.
