We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Engineer / Data Modeler to join our team. You will perform modeling activities on the Allianz Data Platform, playing a crucial role in shaping data architecture and driving data modeling best practices. You will be responsible for technical development and adherence and recommendations for data standards. . You will report to the Data Governance Engineer Principal.

What you do:You will analyze, design and implement data modelsDevelop conceptual, logical, and physical data modelsCreate data models optimized across different data domainsIncrease models for data query performance using best practicesWork with business analysts, data architects, data engineers, & BI developersYou will provide technical leadership and mentorship to data modelers and other team members, promoting a culture of learning and improvementTranslate enterprise requirements into data modelsImplement data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and securityYou will define, review and document data modeling and design standardsPerform hands-on modeling, design, configuration, development, and performance tuningYou will work with other data governance team members to provide input to policies, standards, processes, and procedures for data governance, data access, privacy, and security.You will address project requirements.

What you bring:

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or comparative work experience; Advanced degree preferred4+ years in data modeling, data analytics, or data architectureExperience with Erwin, IDERA Data Architect, or other modeling toolsKnowledge of cloud-based architecture (e.g. Azure, Fabric)Knowledge of SQL and its use in data access and analysisProficiency in data modeling for transactional, operational reporting, and analytical solutions (EDW, Data Lake)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
