Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Network / System Engineer V for an opportunity with a client located in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities:Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilitiesResponsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activitiesViewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendorsWill have responsibility for multiple, complex projectsRequirements:
Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experienceTypically 10+ years of IT experienceSenior level experience Primarily with LinuxExperience with IBM AIX OS is a plusAbility to Recommend, design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutionsProvide Operating System technical and break/fix level supportshell scripting and automation skillsProficient in performing OS administration tasks on RHEL6, RHEL7 running on ESX virtualized serversIn depth Linux knowledge required, including LVM and SAN multipathingExpertise in RedHat Linux Clustering SolutionsProficient in performing OS administration tasks on SLES 11+ running on bare metal HP ProLiant DL580 Gen8 serversProficient in troubleshooting any RHEL6, RHEL7 and SLES 11+ software and hardware issuesExperience in supporting and administration of SLES11+ running HANA DB is a huge plusExperience installing, configuring and Supporting PuppetExperienced with multipath, VAS/AD, yum, BladeLogic and ProLiant DL series, HP3PAR and HP Smart storage arrays admin CLIsAny experience on AIX virtualization, Install upgrade and configure VIO servers and clients, AIX PowerHA clustering is a plusKnowledge of SAN based disk solutions and their configurationsAbility to debug and troubleshoot network, performance and software issuesFamiliarity with tools like BladeLogic, DNT, ESM, vsphere client is a huge plusAbility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environmentAbility to work independently but also must be strong in team partnershipwork a flexible schedule, with 24 hour oncall pager and weekend work expectedstrong verbal and written communication skillsExposure to SAP product suite is a plus10+ years of systems engineering experienceBroad knowledge of the following:
