Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Report Writer. This role will be responsible for creating and managing interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards using Power BI and requires a deep understanding of data analysis and data visualization best practices. Experience with Microsoft Fabric is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Report Design
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements and provide critical insightsEnsure the accuracy and integrity of data presented in reports through thorough data validation and quality checksOptimize Power BI reports for performance and user experienceStay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and data visualization to continually improve reporting capabilitiesUser Training
Provide training and support to business users on navigating and interpreting Power BI reportsEffective Communication
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data analysis needs and deliver reports that provide actionable insightsSkills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related fieldProven experience as a Power BI Report Writer, with a portfolio of reports/dashboards that demonstrate your expertiseKnowledge of data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing principlesExperience with Microsoft Fabric is a plusExcellent analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insightsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable mannerProficiency in DAX and Power Query M languageExperience with data privacy and security practices related to business intelligencePreferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Power BI certificationExperience with other BI tools and analytics softwareKnowledge of Azure Data ServicesFamiliarity with agile development methodologies
