Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer / Data Modeler to join our team, where you will be instrumental in shaping our data architecture and driving data modeling best practices. This role involves technical development, adherence to data standards, and providing recommendations to enhance data governance.

Key Responsibilities:Analyze, design, and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Optimize data models across various data domains to enhance query performance.Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, data engineers, and BI developers.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data modelers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.Translate enterprise requirements into effective data models.Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.Define, review, and document data modeling and design standards.Perform hands-on data modeling, design, configuration, development, and performance tuning.Contribute to the development of policies, standards, processes, and procedures for data governance, data access, privacy, and security.Address project-specific requirements and ensure data solutions align with business objectives.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.4+ years of experience in data modeling, data analytics, or data architecture.Proficiency with data modeling tools such as Erwin, IDERA Data Architect, or similar.Knowledge of cloud-based architecture, such as Azure and Fabric.Strong SQL skills for data access and analysis.Expertise in data modeling for transactional, operational reporting, and analytical solutions (EDW, Data Lake).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
