Network Analyst

Key Role:Provide end-to-end network troubleshooting and performance analysis support for a large DoD enterprise network. Work with a senior Tier 4 DoD network engineering group to provide subject matter expertise to analyze local and wide area network systems. Support planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting vendors, protocol suites, and technologies best suited to meet client requirements. Work with Tier 1- Tier 3 to identify network capture points, capture network traffic, and provide recommendations to improve the end-user experience. Use network operations tools from vendors such as NetScout or Riverbed. Conduct network performance troubleshooting by analyzing packet captures and reviewing network management and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.Basic Qualifications:5+ years of experience with IP networking and troubleshootingExperience with performance monitoring tools, including Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)Experience with packet capture and analysis tools, including Wireshark and tcpdump requiredExperience with using Wireshark and tcpdump to troubleshoot application and network performance issuesSecret clearanceBachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or EESecurity+ CertificationAdditional Qualifications:Experience with Riverbed tools and NetScout preferredExperience with Synthetic Testing Tools, including Jmeter or LoadrunnerExperience with F5 devicesExperience with Cisco IPSLA and Juniper RPMExperience with SIEM tools, including Splunk and ArcSightKnowledge of DoD networks and organizationsCCNA and CCNP Certifications preferredClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
