OverviewSIG is hiring a Software QA Engineer for our fixed income trading systems team. Our team develops a variety of business-critical applications and systems used by our trading desk to engage in the fixed income markets.
This role is focused on ensuring quality of our applications through the software lifecycle, including deployments. In an environment where requirements are often defined and refined in real time, you will be fully engaged with the business and developers helping to solidify business use cases and testing releases of trading applications. You will be involved in designing ways to test our systems in response to new features, changing architectures and operational requirements. The ideal candidate enjoys creative problem solving, is self-motivated and passionate about their work.
In this role, you will:
Be involved with test planning, documentation, and test case development
Manage and maintain the test environments and automation
Manage and execute production software deployments
Develop and refine test processes, methodologies, disciplines, build out Regression Tests, and performance measurements
Provide specialized testing, including functional performance, volume, and stress testing
Testing new functionality and bug fixes along with configuring and managing complex test environments

What we’re looking for• One or more years of experience of hands-on application software testing such as: Rapid software testing, exploratory testing, system testing, production data verification, performance testing• Ability to understand and articulate complex business systems.• Ability to work closely with development team and business users to identify and troubleshoot issues.• Experience with Python, SQL, and defect tracking systems will be considered a strong asset for this role• An analytical mind with the ability and drive to use available resources to understand, diagnose and solve problems• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent
• Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in our Bala Cynwyd office
