What will theSoftwareRelease Managerdo?
TheSoftwareRelease Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful release of high-quality software products and driving the efficiency of our build and release processes.Specifically, you will manage the coordination and acceptance testing of releases acrossvariousinternal and clientenvironments.
Note: This is a hybrid position. TheSoftwareRelease Managermay be on site 2 to 3 days aweek.
What does a typical day look like for theSoftwareRelease Manager?
The person in this position will do the following:
Develop and manage detailed release schedules that align withclientsneedsLead software development and release projects frominceptionthrough deployment, ensuringthatthey meetclientsspecific requirementsCoordinate withthe Engineering, QualityAssurance, andOperations teams to ensurethatall release activitiescomply withapplicable policies and standardsIdentifyand mitigate risks associated with the release processFacilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver releases on time, within scope and budgetContinuously improve the release management process with a focus on best practicesServe as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities, ensuring clear communication withclientsProvide regular updateson release progressto internal and external stakeholders, includingclientrepresentativesPartner with product management to ensure that releases meet clients specific needsWork closely with the DevOps team to ensure a reliable and secure release pipeline that adheres topolicies andstandardsLead post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement in future releases

U.S. citizenship and the ability toobtaina government clearance (oryou haverecently helda government clearance)A bachelors degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, oranother related scientific or technical discipline (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in software release management, with at least 3 years in a project management roleStrong knowledge of softwarebuildand release processes, including version control, build automation, and deployment strategiesExperience collaboratively working in an Agile environment using best-of-breed issue and project tracking tools such as the Atlassian/Jira suiteFamiliarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and toolsProficiencyincloud-based platforms,infrastructure,andcommonly usedbuild and release toolsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillscoupledwith the ability toidentifyand resolve issuesin a timely mannerStrong communicationand collaboration skillsandthe ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong attention to detail and organizationalskills, with a focus on ensuring high-quality software releases
