We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time GIS Analyst position in our Houston, TX office.

GIS ANALYST
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plan, design, develop, document and analyze spatial data.Specialize in Esri Utility Networks and Esri Data Management Solutions deployment.Proficient in developing automation tools and workflows to streamline editing process and minimize QA/QC time.Support a robust ArcGIS Enterprise work environment of 60+ users and mulitple enterprise SQL geodatabases.Development of web-based GIS applications from proposal to execution. Client management from RFP to delivery.Support Project Management for multiple ongoing public and private projects.Generate geospatial sales leads for a variety of public and private clients.Quickly respond to in-house, on-demand GIS requests supporting multiple disciplines including, utilities, infrastructure, environmental and health and safety projects.Maintain documentation of application development and industry standards.Perform quality assurance of GIS data and processes.Integration with other geospatial processes involving UAV's, digital imagery and LIDAR.Maintain expertise in existing and emerging GIS-related software and applications to maximize LJB's GIS offerings.Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
Review GIS Tech utility edits and provide support.Present GIS services at conferences.Other duties as assigned.GIS ANALYST ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in geography, geographic information science, data science, civil engineering, surveying engineering or related field.Certificate in GIS is a plus.Master's Degree in GIS, Geography or CS preferred.Qualifications:
5+ years of experience required.Strong technical background with the ability to think spatially.Experience with Esri's ArcGIS technology, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS.Online, and ArcGIS Pro and its extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst, etc.).Experience with ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Data Store and database administration preferred.Experience with multi-user geodatabases and geodatabase design, database replication/versioning techniques and best practices; familiarity with data management, analysis, and conversion tools in Esri's ArcToolbox.Knowledge of geospatial web application design and development using the ArcGIS web applications.Experience in asset management, utilities, and/or facilities maintenance.Familiarity with projections, principles of cartography, geographic data management, SQL queries, editing, and spatial analysis.Desirable qualifications include: GISP, ESRI Technical Certification, Python scripting, SQL programming, mobile application development experience, and/or experience in a consulting, municipal or public works environment.
