Responsibilities
Peraton has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD!The Cloud Software Engineer will work, within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. Peraton is seeking a self-motivated Java developer who proactively completes tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required
Three (3) or more years of directly related experience as a software engineer is requiredBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is required
An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted without the degree
Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Java, database technologies (MySQL Postgres etc) and have some experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies (such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc)Possess additional knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and AnsibleOne of the following certifications required:
AWS Certified Developer-AssociateAWS DevOps Engineer ProfessionalCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)Elastic Certified Engineer

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
