Join our dynamic technology team as a Data Engineer and take on a crucial role in integrating, processing, and managing data. We seek a skilled professional who excels in backend development, especially in integrating with external systems through APIs. You will work closely with our team to design, implement, and optimize data capture processes, ensuring smooth data flow for analysis and reporting.Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Collaborate with the operations and business intelligence teams to design and implement robust data capture processesDevelop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ensure efficient data movement from various sources, including external systemsIntegrate with external systems using APIs, ensuring secure and reliable data synchronizationDesign and maintain scalable database solutions using Postgres SQL, focusing on data integrity and performance optimizationWork with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver insightful analytics and reporting solutionsOptimize existing data processes and systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliabilityMaintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, system architectures, and API integrationsFoster a workplace that upholds Holistic Industries' aim to be the Best Place to Work, Shop and Invest in CannabisOther duties as assigned, or any reasonable request from any member of management

About You:

GeneralRegulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain medical marijuana work credentials - applicable marijuana licensing regulations may disqualify individuals with certain criminal convictions.

Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field is preferred, or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years of experience in enterprise software development is requiredCannabis industry experience is strongly preferred

Required Knowledge and Skills:Postgres - Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex SQL queries and database structures.AWS - Experience with AWS services like RDS, Redshift, Glue + Athena, S3, and ECS/Lambda for data storage, processing, and management.ETL Processes - Proven experience in developing and managing ETL pipelines for data transformation and movement.API Integration - Strong experience in integrating with external systems via APIs, including RESTful services.Backend Development - Proficiency in backend development, with a focus on data integration and synchronization (experience with .NET is preferred)Experience with PowerBI is a plusVersion control experience - Git is a plusAble to maintain confidentialityAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
