Responsibilities

Peraton has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel program here in Laurel, MD. The Cloud Software Engineer will work within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. Peraton is seeking someone who has a strong background in Java development and who proactively completes tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements.Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Seven (7) years of experience on projects with similar software processesA technical Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant field is required.

An additional 4 years of experience can be taken in place of the degree

One of the following cerifications is needed

AWS Certified Developer-AssociateAWS DevOps Engineer ProfesssionalCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)Elastic Certified Engineer

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
