Position Summary

:

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the management and execution of Contract Manufacturing and Private Label customers, processes, and projects. This position will support the sales team in developing and executing The Fresh Factory’s strategic sales plan. This position is based in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Essential Duties and Requirements

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned customers, working with internal and external teams to support customer and company goals. This includes utilization of CRM, ERP and Commercialization systems.

Manage and review customer contracts to maintain accurate information on dates and requirements

Support the Sales team in the acquisition of new accounts.

Assist and follow up on setup of new customers; documents and forms both internal and external.

Assist and follow up on customer change requests, including packaging refreshes; this often entails working in various customer portals and liaising cross-functionally.

Assist in maintaining customer pricing and information on timing and requirements for pricing adjustments.

Management of end-to-end commercialization process to bring new products to market and launch new manufacturing lines successfully and efficiently.

Coordinate and handle all aspects to support customer-first production approvals (FPAs). Including project management for all steps leading to FPA.

Follow up with cross-functional department action items; maintain and distribute project trackers to manage all new product development timelines. Escalation as necessary to maintain timelines.

Assist Sales team with sales presentations and other materials for sales appointments, including report generation and analysis.

Develop/maintain close working relationships with Finance, Customer Service, R&D / Commercialization, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

Lead weekly customer meetings to discuss and coordinate production scheduling and monthly forecasting, ensuring alignment with customer needs and addressing any necessary adjustments

Advise management on any discrepancies in reconciliations between forecast and actual orders, and touch base with customers where necessary.

Attend customer meetings on occasion to provide support and detailed information to internal teams

Handle AR follow-ups with customers regarding past-due invoices and deductions/short payments.

Generate and submit customer-required reports, usually weekly or monthly.

Participate in trade show planning and attend shows as required.

Provide guidance to Scheduling on production quantities, swaps, priorities review of aging inventories, and provide action items for the same.

Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of the Company.

Responsible for recognizing and reporting food safety and employee safety issues.

Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has dotted-line responsibilities, but no direct reports.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years of related sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry. An excellent administrative ability to develop reports, presentations, and spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Office Products is required.

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree with a Business Major with 5 years or more experience as Sales or Sales Administration experience is preferred. Experience in the food-related consumer packaged goods industry preferred.

Language Skills

This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to: read requests for proposals; contracts, correspond and communicate with current and prospective customers, employees, auditors and make presentations when required. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Works individually and must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Good business judgment and flexibility will be required to keep up with constantly changing needs of customers (internal and external). This requires minimal travel (< 10%). Will need excellent administrative and communicative skills to keep projects on track at the office or when traveling. This position requires occasional weekend work and regular workdays in excess of eight hours per day. Occasional lifting, bending, and carrying will be required due to shows and sample transport.
