Its continuing care programs provide nearly 2.5 million visits annually. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •
Preferred Education: Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist. •
Preferred Certification: CST (certification requirement directed by local facility). •
A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST and/or Associate or Bachelor’s degree. •
If a Surgical Technologist program has not been completed, due to training on the job or trained in the military – Five (5) years’ work experience is required. •
Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility. •
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, surgeons and other patient care personnel, often during emergency or stressful situations. •
Analytical skills necessary in order to organize and prepare operating room according to best practice methods and procedures. •
Ability to stand for prolonged periods (greater than eighty percent of work time) and to occasionally lift and position patients when preparing patients for operative procedures. •
Manual dexterity necessary to grasp and hold firmly retractors and delicate surgical instruments. Mechanical aptitude to operate a large variety highly technical medical equipment. •
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
