Tax Director - Research & Planning - Dallas

SNI Financial has partnered with a Dallas company in search of a Tax Director of Research and Planning. This position will focus on the tax planning, controversy, and research functions of the US tax group. Responsibilities:

• Review current structure of corporate income tax filings and supporting documentation and develop methods to optimize cash tax savings
• Determine tax risks and develop counter measurements to minimize tax cost while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Research implications of new tax regulations
• Lead efforts for legal entity mergers, dissolutions, reorganizations, transfers of assets, etc., including due diligience and supporting research documentation
• Manage federal, state, and local income and franchise tax controversy, audits, appeals and litigation for the U.S. group

Qualifications:

• CPA or JD
• Big 4 experience highly preferred
• Domestic and international corporte tax experience preferred
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex data to minimize tax and document results
