Senior IT Business Analyst (Epic General Ledger)

This person serves as a liaison between the IT department and the business service lines. You will be a team member who is responsible for providing application(s) configuration support to enhance department's operational efficiencies/ workflow needs.

• Essential Functions

  • Support major enterprise applications and other systems as assigned, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Lead the design and optimization of business workflows in collaboration with business units.
  • Provide guidance to Application Analysts to enhance efficiencies, resolve complex workflow issues, and integrate quality initiatives.
  • Identify complex testing scenarios and develop comprehensive test scripts.
  • Validate testing results to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of departmental business processes and how they interact with the applications.
  • Assume ownership of specific application functionalities and processes.
  • Manage all aspects of configuration, testing, and communication related to these functionalities/processes.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve application issues, demonstrating problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Produce and maintain custom reports, utilizing industry-standard report writers such as Crystal Reports.
  • Ensure reports meet user requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage components of application upgrades, including testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support efforts.
  • Support and troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces as required.
  • Create necessary reports and manage problem tickets effectively to resolve issues.

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED Required and
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 3+ years Experience supporting applications Required and
• Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired 
• Ideal candidate will have experience building Hospital Billing and Professional Billing general ledgers in Epic and will be familiar with working with Accounting and Finance teams.
• Experience working with business applications such as:Patient Scheduling systemsHospital or Physician Revenue Cycle systemsData WarehousingSQL Server/SSISEnterprise Scanning and workflow management ApplicationsBed Management ApplicationsFinance Applications Required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge and experience with SQL based applications. 
• Knowledge of LAN, DNS, and networking.
• Ability to work with servers and apply software upgrades. 
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures. 
• Knowledge and experience with HL7 Interfaces.
