YOUR IMPACT As the Lead External Reporting Analyst at OpenText, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all publicly filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. You will take a lead role in preparing and reviewing financial statements, notes to financial statements, and other key reports that are crucial to our quarterly and annual filings. Your expertise will support our financial transparency and provide critical information to our investors and stakeholders. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Assist with the preparation of quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulatory reporting requirements. Prepare and/or review notes to financial statements, validating data against various source systems, preparing reconciliations, and explaining material variances. Accurately prepare consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in a timely manner. Support the 10-Q and 10-K document tieouts, referencing supporting files, and organizing documents systematically. Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly Audit Committee materials. Prepare documentation and coordinate with internal and external auditors during the review and audit process of the Form 10-Qs and 10-Ks. Liaise with various stakeholders within the organization, particularly the Corporate Accounting department, to gather information and support for the 10-Qs and 10-Ks. Prepare quarterly stock compensation journal entries, reconcile respective accounts and share balances accurately and on time. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED A degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus. 5-7 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with public accounting experience. Strong technical knowledge of current accounting standards. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at senior management levels. Meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to SOX processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with systems such as Workiva, BPC Consolidation, and SAP is a plus. SALARY STATEMENT This job is expected to pay a minimum of $99,000 USD in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
