Exciting job opportunity for a Trade Support/ Linux Engineer to join a leading financial technology firm. This is a full-time role located onsite in Chicago, IL. As their Trade Support Engineer, you will be doing 60% support and 40% Linux. In this position you will focus on optimizing and managing the production trading environment.

As a Trade Support Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and managing production trading applications at both the desktop and server level and actively supporting the companies critical trading activities. You will work closely with Development Trading and configure the trading system. Additionally, you will take on the challenge of automating daily and repetitive tasks, as well as learning and supporting the in-house third-party software applications in the production trading system.

Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant experience and qualificationsFamiliar with Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.), automation tools, and proficient with the command lineExperience with Python, Bash, database structures, and scripting techniquesAbility to learn and apply new concepts quicklyUnderstanding of the importance of risk and compliance procedures and controlsDesired Skills & Experience

Team player with the ability to build relationships with multiple teams and officesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentOn-call availability to work outside of core business hours or on weekends or holidaysWhat You Will Be DoingTech Breakdown
