Full-time Office Location: Any Location Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in 2014. In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in-home and community-based services (IHCBS) for at-risk youth in the District of Columbia. In August 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core Service Agency (CSA) by the DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better Morning's founder’s passion for at-risk youth and their families motivated the expansion of evidenced-based programs to meet the needs of the underserved population. Position Summary: An exciting position has become available for a full-time CBI II and III (Intensive in Home and Community Based Services) to join a friendly team based in Washington, DC. If you possess superior interpersonal and communication skills and have experience in providing administrative oversight, coordination, management, education, dissemination, support of CBI II and III services implementation, and linkage of the local stakeholders, we want you! Responsibilities: Responsible for providing clinical services as outlined by the policies and procedures of Better Morning. Carry a caseload of up to 6 CBI cases and will be required to meet and engage them 5 times a week. Provide services to youth and families in a culturally competent and respectful manner. Provide individual and family counseling. Initiate CBI services within 24 hours of receiving the referral notification from the supervisor. Initiate Family Team Meeting within 7-14 days of referral. Develop safety plans with the input of youth, family, and all stakeholders. Educate the family about CBI services and the role of CBI clinicians and CBI team. Explain the benefit of a team working with a family. Provide 24-hour availability for youth and families. Explain in detail to youth and family how crisis calls are handled 24/7 and the role of the CBI team. Provide CBI services in home, school, and community. Ensure that the intensity of service meets the needs of the youth and family. Participate in CBI required training curriculum. Remain flexible to schedule sessions around youth and family’s availability. Complete MUI report in case of unusual incidents. Facilitate discharge team meetings including all stakeholders. Participate in individual and group supervision as scheduled. Complete Relias and other required annual trainings. Assist with the implementation of program initiatives as directed by the supervisor. Qualifications: LGPC/LGSW, QMHP, or Master's level clinician working towards graduate level licensure. Credible system highly desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office applications/programs. Practical knowledge and skill in providing a range of therapeutic techniques and skill-building interventions. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual skills a plus. Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies. Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline. Must be able to meet established productivity standards. Strong charting/documentation skills utilizing an electronic medical record.
