Yuma features extraordinary outdoor activities from tubing on the Colorado River to off-roading at the Buttercup Sand Dunes. Our location produces hard boiled eggs for a vast number of both retail and food service customers.Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY:The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials to and from proper storage areas by operating a Powered Industrial Truck.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all jobs duties/tasks.Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediatelyWarehouse dry and finished operate lift truck to required standards to move product from trucks to warehouse, warehouse to production, production to warehouse and warehouse to truck utilizing TRM system on forklifts.Shell Egg operate lift truck to required standards to move product from trucks to warehouse and warehouse to production. Utilize SAP system on forklifts for movement of product into production.Attend pre-shift meetings, including stretching as aDrive forklift in a safe and productiveComplete the daily forklift inspection and remove the lift from service if a defect isShip and receive product damage free and accurately by completing the Quality ReassuranceMonitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions and actComplete all documents and paperwork completely andFill customer orders accurately and follow the customers specialWork very closely with the office staff to ensure discrepancies and issues are completedEnsure the warehouse is organized and clean, damage is taken care of, and pallets are off the floor and placed intoPromote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasantCycle count as necessary and directed from the office.Cross train in other forklift areas to improve operational efficiencies.Perform other duties as

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:The successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forkliftEffectively read, write, and speakStrong math and configuration are necessaryAbility to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee.Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operators license is requiredPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment isGood Inter-Personal skills areBilingual preferredHigh school diploma or G.E.D (General Education Degree) or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCertification is preferred but is not required at the time of hire.
