Summary

This position is responsible for driving the shuttle bus or van and to provide direction and leadership to rail drivers; Also monitor the drivers to ensure they follow company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Primary

Meet with rail management to get the plan for the day. Ensure all of the drivers understand the plan.Shuttle team members to the correct vehicles according to the loading plan.Ensure drivers move vehicles safely and efficiently.Lead the team members by providing direction and any needed assistance.Secondary

Communicate company guidelines and standards to team members and ensure they are followed.Correct any policy violations or poor performance immediately. Always report any incidents to the rail supervisor andor assistant manager as soon as possible.Stay in communication with other rail team members or departments as needed, to help ensure everyone is working together to achieve the goals for the day.Tertiary

Load vehicles onto railcars and perform other rail loader duties as needed.Assist other departments as directed by management.Qualifications

Skills

Prior leadership or supervisory experience.Effectiveverbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsGood interpersonal skills in order to work well as a teamGood driving skills.Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED1 year of experience preferredPhysical Requirements

Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typingLift up to 20lbs.Carry up to 20lbs.Stand/walkWorking and Environmental Conditions

Must be comfortable driving 3/4 ton van with employees on boardExposure to outdoor temperatures and vehicle exhaust fumesThe position is based in a plant manufacturing/warehousing environment.Communication with employees and field partners will be primarily conducted via phone and email.
