The planning suite is utilized by surgeons to create the roadmap that they will execute in unison with the robot during the operation. Your graphics and algorithm expertise will be used to display 3D anatomical visualizations of complex medical images and information, create tools to plan surgery, implement the voice commands to drive the robot interface, automatically find morphology in CT images, and much more. You will work with other world-class software, hardware, electronics, and mechanical design engineers.

What you'll do:

Create innovative solutions to meet our company's technical needsDesign, code, and debug new and existing robot UI and surgical planning softwareWrite well-designed, testable code and unit tests for that codeMaintain, upgrade, and improve the performance of existing application softwarePerform design and code reviews of code developed by your peersGenerate and execute test protocols and create test reportsInvestigate software-related complaints and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal software performanceWhat you'll bring:

BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field3 to 15 years of strong experience in object-oriented software design and implementationExpert-level coding skills in multiple languagesVery strong problem-solving skillsDeep understanding of computer science and OO programming conceptsVery strong software design and architecture skillsStrong skills in user interface design for software applicationsExtensive experience with computer graphics, linear algebra, and core image visualization conceptsExtensive experience with documenting and testing software applicationsTeam player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage uncertainty, push the limits, and think like an ownerExperience with VTK/ITK, CGAL or other visualization libraries preferredFamiliar with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards preferredExperience with computer vision or image processing preferredExperience with machine learning preferredExperience with robot control, including FK and IK technologies preferredFamiliarity with agile methodologies preferredExperience with medical device software preferredFamiliarity with FDA regulations preferredStart-up experience preferredWhat else?
