Because of our growth, Woolpert seeks a Geospatial Analyst to work onsite at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida.Analyst will be part of a fast-paced team developing and executing geospatial solutions for the US Air Force GeoBase program. GeoBase analysts are expected to create and update base maps in coordination with the installation Civil Engineering Squadron Geospatial Integration Office (GIO). The analyst will support the base with Esri ArcGIS desktop and enterprise solutions to meet installation GeoBase program requirements, working in an Agile project management environment.Requirements :U.S. citizenship
Active Tier 1 Investigation (National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI), or security clearance, or the ability to pass a Tier 1 Investigation.Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screeningExtensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities:Two (2) years of experience using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) or ArcGIS ProTwo (2) years of experience using ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online (AGOL)Two (2) years of experience in a role requiring:Excellent communication and consulting skills with emphasis on client and team member engagementProven experience providing excellent customer serviceStrong technical proficiency using Microsoft Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for a dynamic working environmentAttention to detail - proven experience meeting data quality assurance and accuracy standardsStrong organizational, time management and analytical skillsAbility to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and as a member of a large organizationAbility to offer constructive feedback and problem solving, as well as clear direction to support goalsDesired Qualifications:Experience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) GIS data standard or other defined spatial data model.Experience with Oracle databases, database management software, or SQLProficiency with Esri ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, or ArcGIS EnterpriseProficiency using ArcGIS Data Reviewer extensionProficiency in processing and using geospatial imagery and LiDAR dataExperience with Agile project management methodology using Atlassian or similar platformsExperience in enterprise GISExperience with DoD geospatial data and systemsResponsibilities:Mission: Deliver Trusted Geospatial Engineering Data, Maps, and ServicesCreate and maintain Air Force Civil Engineering GIS data in an enterprise environment, managing a versioned, multi-user geodatabasePerform data quality assurance and control (QA/QC), ensuring compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense geospatial data standardsCreate, update, and produce a variety of installation, range, and vicinity maps, drawings, plans, and other graphic representations using cartographic techniques to represent spatial dataWork closely with end users in the Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) GeoBase office (GIO) and other base organizations to identify and satisfy GIS requirements, technical issues, and training needsUtilize the GeoBase Agile framework to enable task visibility and project transparency to the client:Use Agile platform (Jira, Confluence) to record all processes and tasks, and manage all projectsUpdate detailed continuity folder for Tyndall AFB, documenting current installation-specific workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and GeoBase program functional processes to ensure sustained and reliable operationsProvide end user support and training on GIS data stewardship, ArcGIS applications, SDSFIE data model, GEOMAP capabilities, and GeoBase program objectivesCoordinate and execute GIS data submissions and requests to authorized stakeholders and mission partners, including disaster response and emergency mapping and analysis supportCreate and maintain installation and AF enterprise geospatial metadataPerform complex GIS data analysis, extraction (digitization), and geocoding processesIntegrate geospatial imagery, LiDAR, survey, and field collected data into the GeoBase enterpriseMigrate or convert legacy GIS, CAD, non-spatial, and tabular data to GeoBase standardsAnalyze current processes and recommend improvements or other best practice solutionsMaintain data for archival storage, record keeping, and inventory of source data and mapsWork with GeoBase Portal content managers to create or improve Tyndall AFB data and geoprocessing services for enterprise availability to all GEOMAP users
