Job Description
To help continue our rapid growth and solve our clients' toughest problems, we need an experienced Network Engineer to join our Enterprise MSP Team. If you love to solve problems and add value, please consider what your typical days might look like...Work on a collaborative team to deliver transformative results for our customersImplement firewall, switching, wireless, WAN, and cloud networking solutionsRead and interpret a project plan, setup networking gear out of the box, collaborate with cabling and security vendors, perform necessary installation tasks, and document the solutionPerform network assessments and generate detailed network diagrams, rack layouts, and inventory listsCommunicate with clients, keeping them informed of progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outagesInstitute monitoring and alerting across all networks with automated and documented escalation proceduresWork with clients to interpret, clarify, and implement change requests on network-related solutionsAdminister and maintain site infrastructure, including network connectivity, and Internet accessInterface with vendor / manufacturer technical personnel to implement OT solutions in manufacturing and other specialized environmentsMonitor and identify network capacity and performance issues to maximize efficiency of company communication systemsReview customer operations for improving business process opportunitiesProvide technical assistance, training, and mentorship as needed to other technical resources including end-user and staffProvide Tier 3 on-call support as neededConfigure and support of physical and virtual network devices, while maintaining accurate network documentationDeliver assigned operational commitments to customers, utilizing the entire customer team as necessary and as agreed upon with the Enterprise Infrastructure ManagerQualifications
At least 3-5 years of experience in routing, switching, firewalls, and wirelessTechnical Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE5, AZ-700, etc. are highly desirablePrior consulting experience is highly preferredExperience in executing medium to large-scale projectsExpertise with network systems, standards (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN) and protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPFIn-depth knowledge of network security, including NGFW, IPS, network segmentation and VPNsCloud Networking Experience (Azure, AWS, Google)Experience planning, designing, and deploying network architecturesProven ability in network capacity and performance planning and monitoringPossess a thorough understanding of 802.11 wireless principlesStrong ability with end-user device connectivityIn depth knowledge of QoS and traffic shapingKnowledge of 802.1X implementation strategiesProven ability to analyze and solve network incidentsExcellent communication and client service skills, both written and oral, including a proven ability to create detailed technical documentationStrong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problemsWilling to travel locally and nationally as neededMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipAdditional Information
