Technology Intern

Overview:

The Lilly Technology group is actively seeking interns who are self-starters and like to solve problems. Are you passionate about technology and determined to deliver impactful technology solutions? If so, please apply. At Lilly, we offer many internship roles that utilize various technical capabilities across a wide variety of business areas. You are matched with a technical project based on your interests, skills, and experiences. The project will have clear objectives designed to help drive technology advancement to benefit the patients that we serve, enabling you to be a key contributor and develop an understanding of the medicine industry. In addition to helping Lilly deliver lifesaving medicines, you will work in key business areas using many of the technology capabilities outlined below:

Cloud Engineering - A network of interconnected components cover applications, services, data and infrastructure.Data Science and Machine Learning - A leading role in developing, deploying, and using advanced data/algorithm capabilities that empower decision-making across all functions.Cyber Security - People-centric, secure, vigilant, and resilient, capabilities that protect information, products and systems enabling Lilly to deliver on its mission.Software Product Engineering - Technology solutions that power teams across Lilly to work faster and deliver top-of-the-line services and products to our customers.User Experience Design - Integrated experiences for all consumers are delivered; comprised of information, technical capabilities, and services that work seamlessly together for the user.Generative AI - At the forefront of AI to deliver medicines to people more efficiently by supercharging our employees to do work faster and better.Integrated Product Systems - Lilly products will consist of molecules, devices, apps algorithms and data. This capability ensures robust deployment and support of the digital elements.Product Leadership and Mindset - Vision, strategy, and roadmap defining for a customer-driven software product, as well as leading development, delivery, and adoption to customers.Responsibilities:

Work directly with business partners and end users as a technical liaisonCollaborate on technology projects to fulfill a business need or drive a business outcomeUnderstand functional business areas, their current and immediate needs, and anticipate future needsRespond, translate, and build customer requirements using your business and technical knowledgePropose solutions and influence business decisionsLead your own priorities and allocation of time to deliver the needs of businessLearn and use new technologies to meet and/or advance project goalsLilly internships last for 12 continuous weeks beginning in May or June. Each intern will be assigned a project affording the opportunity to actively contribute to the organization and build a comprehensive understanding of the medicine industry. Professional development and social events will be held throughout the summer. At the conclusion, each intern will present their project highlights, findings, recommendations, and general internship accomplishments to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Currently attending a college/university and will have completed your sophomore or junior year by June 2025 in an Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Security, Business, and/or computer related academic program.Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
