ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Network Engineer focusing on AI Infrastructure, you will be the architect and guardian of the network systems that drive our AI operations. Reporting directly to the Head of AI Data Centers, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing cutting-edge network infrastructure. This role demands unparalleled expertise to ensure our systems are optimized for the high-performance computing and data-intensive applications that define our cutting-edge AI initiatives. Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
Network Design and Implementation:Design and implement network architectures to support AI infrastructure, including data centers, high-performance computing environments, and distributed systems.Configure and deploy network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring compatibility with AI workloads and data requirements.Network Optimization:
Optimize network performance to handle high data throughput and low-latency requirements of AI applications.Monitor network traffic and performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and ensuring efficient data flow.Security and Compliance:
Implement and manage network security measures to protect AI infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data protection.Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support for network-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems and network failures.Collaborate with other engineering teams to address network requirements and challenges associated with AI systems.Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and infrastructure changes.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with IT, software engineering, and data science teams to understand and support their network needs for AI infrastructure.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on network requirements and project goals.Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in network technologies and best practices.Recommend and implement new technologies and processes to improve network efficiency and resilience.ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.4+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on designing and managing complex network infrastructures.Experience with AI infrastructure or high-performance computing environments is highly desirable.Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.Experience with network management and monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).Knowledge of cloud networking and services (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on network security and reliability.Innovative mindset with a passion for optimizing network performance for advanced technologies.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
