We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cloud Security Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor. As a Junior Cloud Security Specialist, you will assist in securing our clients' cloud environments, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation and management of cloud security solutions for AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Monitor cloud environments for security breaches and vulnerabilities.
Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.
Assist in the development and enforcement of cloud security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with senior cloud security specialists to design and implement security architectures.
Respond to security incidents and assist in the investigation and remediation of security breaches.
Maintain documentation of security procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Understanding of fundamental cloud security concepts and best practices.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus, but not required.
Prior experience in an IT or security role is preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong technical skills will also be considered.
Contract Details:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Flexible working hours based on client needs.
Compensation will be based on the complexity and duration of tasks/projects.
