The Executive Director of Academic Transformation (ED) works with the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer to identify and scale innovative approaches to increasing student outcomes. The ED is responsible for executing the direction and strategic planning for Innovative School Models and serving as the point-person for Transformation Initiatives throughout the district. This person collects, analyzes and uses multiple sources of data, including research related to the design and implementation of new school models to guide continuous improvement of schools. The ED will create innovative and specialized school models and manage communications support to an identified portfolio of innovation schools. The ED will support resource sharing within the network and across the district and will build the leadership capacity of the district. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university • Doctorate degree preferred Experience: • Five (5) years successful experience as a principal or district-level administrative leader • Experience working collaboratively across key departments of a school district • Experience in research related to the design and implementation of new and specialized school models • Experience working with a diverse population of students and families within an urban school setting • Successful experience in working well in diverse economic, multicultural, and multilingual communities and environments • Experience working with both elementary and secondary level schools and programs Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.: • Possess or ability to obtain a Mid-Management, Administrator, or Principal Certification • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
