Position Summary: Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is seeking a senior director of leadership development. This position plays a critical role in designing, implementing and overseeing strategies and programs aimed at cultivating and enhancing leadership capabilities within the organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership development, a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and a strategic mindset to drive initiatives that align with business objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Founded in 1919, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is a grassroots membership organization that is committed to helping its members achieve their best farm future. Its mission: Working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities. Responsibilities: Oversee the programming and management of the leadership development team. Provide strategic leadership and project management oversight for the leadership development team efforts. Work with team members to develop goals and objectives on an annual basis. Evaluate performance of team members. Serve as director for the AgriPOWER Institute program, with primary responsibilities to include: Development of program objectives and goals. Coordination and facilitation of institute program planning. Budgeting and administration of the program expenses. Solicitation of financial support and community sponsors. Recruitment of program participants, engagement of past graduates into OFBF programming and leadership roles. Develop and execute programming to develop leadership training for leaders, members and staff of the Ohio Farm Bureau. Coordinate and develop high level training opportunities for future leadership. Coordinate and monitor additional training programs for leadership development. Coordinate and implement professional development training for OFB staff. Coordinate with Strategic Partnerships team to engage new strategic partners in the development of YAP, Youth Pathways, Ag Literacy, Leadership Development programming. Oversee the ExploreAg program in coordination with Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation and Extension. Oversee the planning and execution of the Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, education or related field. Minimum Skill Qualifications: Strong organization and communication skills. Experience in project management and training. Proven track record of success in leadership development roles, with at least 8-10 years of experience in designing and implementing leadership development programs in an organizational setting. Strong understanding of leadership theories, models and best practices, with the ability to translate theory into practical, actionable strategies. Excellent coaching, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and to collaborate across functions and departments to achieve shared goals. Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate future trends and develop innovative solutions to complex leadership development challenges. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in executive coaching, leadership assessment tools or other relevant credentials is a plus. Working knowledge of a membership association. Sincere interest in agriculture.
