Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Reporting to the Supervisor of budget and data, serves as budget and data coordinator for Early Childhood Block Grant. Monitors budget and amendment processes. Collects, analyzes and reports program and fiscal data to agency officials, legislators, etc. Acts as department liaison/representative for early childhood data initiatives. Provides technical assistance on budget issues as well as programmatic assistance.Duties and Responsibilities:Collects, analyzes, and generates reports on program and fiscal data relating to early childhood block grant programs for internal and external purposes, including reports for legislators and others upon request.Coordinates and oversees department early childhood block grant budget and amendment processes.Reviews and approves early childhood block grant applications in the IWAS system.Provides technical assistance on budget, data, and programmatic administration to early childhood block grant programs.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Management Information Systems plus four years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or Management Information Systems plus six years of relevant professional experience. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)Experience with project management.Experience with systems development.Ability to administer large scale budgets.Ability to maintain complex data files.Knowledge of funding and disbursement procedures.Knowledge of data and budget applications.Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of best practice in early childhood education.Familiarity with statewide early childhood initiatives.Familiarity with Part 235 of the Administrative Rules.ISBE provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
