This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will directly support Blue Origin's success through skilled management of the development and administration of appropriate standards and tools for systems engineering disciplines including systems architecture, systems integration, trade studies, requirements development and decomposition, verification approaches, configuration management, gated reviews, systems safety, and technical performance metric management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage requirements development, decomposition, trade studies, and requirement verification/validationWorks with integrated functional teams to define, develop, and execute integration and test activities for integrated systemsDevelop strategies and approaches for specialty engineering (operability, reliability, maintainability, supportability) integration, analysis and verificationDevelop systems engineering artifacts to include requirements specifications, ICDs, test plans, test procedures, and test reportsRepresent the Systems Engineering team in technical reviews and failure investigationsMinimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field2+ years experience in Systems Engineering, Integration, and TestKnowledge of systems engineering practices (e.g., requirements development; standard verification methods; functional decomposition; standard diagramming techniques; risk and opportunity managementHands-on experience in developing, authoring, and executing integrated tests and/or operating complex systemsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with requirements development/management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next GenExperience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data management tools such as WindchillExperience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRAAbility to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteriaExperience in Payload Integration and/or Launch Vehicle OperationsExperience with Cryogenic, Pneumatic, and/or Hydraulic systemsExperience with RF, communication, and/or control systems
Compensation Range for:WA applicants is $96,480.00-$135,072.00
